Shy 14-year-old Duncan of the summer holidays with her mother, her arrogant boyfriend, her friends and daughter. Having a hard time adjusting to, finds an unexpected friend in Duncan Owen, Head of the Water Wizz water park.

Duncan (Liam James) is not a popular guy, and it does not look as though the summer is slightly better offer for him. His mother's boyfriend has invited them to his beach house where Duncan expected to improve his personality and appearance and meet girls. But his would-be stepsister had nothing to do with him and his shy demeanor makes it difficult for him to meet someone. Owen (Sam Rockwell) allows Duncan to work with him and their new bond will mature and help each other find their place in life. What Duncan does stand up to his would-be stepfather, a conversation with the girl next door and become more familiar with who he is.
