When Gru, a former supervillain is adjusting to family life and trying life honest in business jam, Arctic secret lab is stolen. League of Anti-villain decides to help local needs and employ Gru in the survey. With the AVL eccentric agent, Lucy Wilde, Gru has already concluded that his chief suspect is presumed dead supervillain, El Macho, his youngest son, who also made moves in her daughter, Margo. It seems blinded by his overprotectiveness of her children and a growing mutual attraction to her Lucy, Gru looks the wrong way, even if their friends are quietly kidnapped en masse for sick reasons.
